There was a new build on the PTR today, which added a few things that likely affect Windwalker.

Crackling Jade Lightning Channel Jade lightning, causing (
27.977%22.4% of Attack power) Nature damage over 4 sec to the target and sometimes knocking back melee attackers.
The nerf to Crackling Jade Lightning is pretty much meaningless, as its not used for anything meaningful.
Dance of Chi-Ji appears to have a rough proc rate of 2 per minute. Likely, if you have it, you’ll want to make sure to use Spinning Crane Kick before you could spend Chi again on another ability. This should be a nice boost in AOE; its unclear if the damage will be to each target, although it likely is, and reasonable in single target depending on how its balanced. More importantly, this seems to be a step toward making Spinning Crane Kick a little bit more used and meaningful, which is one of the complaints many have had since the tuning changed going into this expansion. Having more of this trait will likely just increase the damage added to Spinning Crane Kick and not the proc chance, as thats how other Azerite Traits stack.
Fury of Xuen is one that we’ll definitely need more information on. The 33 stack cap is mostly meaningless, although in situations where you’re holding Fists of Fury in anticipation of more targets to hit, the stacking chance will be nice, but you will almost certainly not go out of your way to get more stacks to increase the chance. Having more of this trait will certainly stack only the haste amount, and not the % chance to proc or the duration of Invoke Xuen, the White Tiger. In theory, this could mean that you have two copies of Invoke Xuen, the White Tiger up at the same time, which sounds pretty. Since haste isn’t as useful of a stat as the others, that part of this trait may not be very helpful, so it is likely going to be in a situation of wanting to get 1, if any, but not stack them.
So, see if i understand this correctly: Every hit you do within your mastery will grant you a stack of Fury of Xuen, up to 33 stacks ( at 33 stacks you have a 99% change to spawn a invoke Xuen) sounds pretty neat in my ears. gonna be fun to combo with the OPS buff we got last time. So this means blizz wants us to focus more on our mastery and our FoF again
In War Mode and PvP, that trait could mean up to 3 copies of Xuen! Look at us windwalkers, we’re the BM Hunter now.
The CJL nerf is interesting. I wonder what plans are in store for that spell.
Knowing Blizzard, nothing.
remember the nerfs to CJL pre lego chest?
This is the right direction- Havoc DH’s are making a mockery of WW right now, they have better utility, ST (excluding karma), and AOE than WW’s and overall dungeon damage, giving WW it’s aoe strength back will make them more desirable in M+ and Aoe /cleave situations.
WW used to be kings of AOE in Legion and removing the SCK cap really hurt, but making up for it now is good.
I really doubt these will actually boost our overall AoE, as Open Palm Strikes would likely be better than them anyways.
1x fury of xuen will probably be a good idea if its a good trait at all (unless its undertuned) as the % to summon xuen doesn’t go up with more traits . So for it to be viable we’ll need 1 and it sounds OP anyway (since you can use RJW and FoF at once)
