Changes
-
Bonedust Brew can no longer crit, but had its damage increased from a 35% bonus to a 40% bonus. This results in a slight nerf to Necrolord damage.
What this means
Covenants
- Raiding:
- Kyrian for single target
- Either Kyrian or Necrolord for small target cleave
- Necrolord for frequent or large target cleave.
- Mythic+: Necrolord

- Night Fae will use Faeline Harmony in Belt for all situations.
- Venthyr can use Sinister Teachings in Wrist/Finger.
- Necrolord will use Invoker’s Delight for everything. In Cloak if you need Helm for tier bonus, on Helm if not.
- Kyrian will use Invoker’s Delight for everything. In Cloak if you need Helm for tier bonus, on Helm if not.
Double Legendaries
- Memory of Unity in Belt and Invoker’s Delight for everything. In Cloak if you need Helm for tier bonus, on Helm if not.
Tier Set
Gear
-
Crown of the Grand Upwelling (Helm – Anduin Wrynn)
-
Tassets of the Grand Upwelling (Shoulders – Lords of Dread)
-
Cuirass of the Grand Upwelling (Chest – Rygelon)
-
Grips of the Grand Upwelling (Gloves – Lihuvim)
Ideal Pieces: Shoulders, Chest, Gloves, and Legs with Invoker’s Delight in the Helm slot.
Bonuses
-
2-Set – Fists of Primordium – Increases Fists of Fury damage by 40%.
-
4-Set – Primordial Potential – After 10 offensive abilities, your next 3 offensive abilities deal an additional 22% damage.
Neither cause any change in how you play. You can delay Rising Sun Kick, Whirling Dragon Punch, and Fists of Fury to try and fit them into the window of 3 abilities from Primordial Potential, but can potentially lose damage by doing so too frequently. A good rule of thumb is if you have to delay by more than 1/5 of the abilities CD, it won’t be worth doing so.
Everything Else
There’s no other changes to any aspect of Windwalkers other than what is above. Damage should be fine, low in pure single target but high in AOE.
