The day has come, with the release of Mythic Antorus, came the class tuning that we knew we’d see. Here’s how it went:
What you’ll notice is that Windwalker is both in the top half, and neither buffed, nor nerfed. By the data I gathered from the first week, Windwalker’s look to be in an exceptionally good spot. Based on that data, Windwalkers were 0.29 standard deviations, or 1.24% above the average for Heroic Antorus, understanding that Affliction was an insane 2.35 SD or 9.21% above the mean before these (very minor) nerfs.
Week 1 data is rarely indicative of how things shake out later in the tier, and more tuning is always possible. However, as it stands, Windwalker is in a good solid place for Antorus, and by the time any “scaling” issues take hold, its very unlikely to matter very much.

And the Nerf is coming with 7.3.5 😀
There haven’t been any nerfs announced in 7.3.5. Unless you’re misinterpreting the BoK chi cost change that is clearly centered around leveling.
Where is the BoK chi cost change stated?
It was on MMO Champion
Well, after 2 weeks of raiding it seems that the WW is performing insanly well. It’s been a while since I didn’t monopolize the top DPS chart of my raid like I do in Antorus. T21 is a little less smoother than the T20 but WW is still fun to play and SEF (that I love) is more than viable. I hope it will last with itemization.
The only thing that is missing is a “raid tool”. Yes the WW has a nice toolbox for itself but I lack something to help the raid. Perhaps I am missing something …
BTW, GG blizzard ^^
I think we should be safe for a bit longer, or that blizzard would be blind if they nerfed us NOW. Things are probably only getting worse from here for windwalkers: shorters lived adds, shorter fights, more gear …
If you look closely, some other classes are realllly on the rise. Fury warriors are gathering pace really fast. Warlocks are still insanely strong as showcased on many fights. We’ll remain strong but don’t expect us to be the strongest melee in charts forever.
As for utility, I think it’s the opposite: blizzard has made a real effort to make adds something other than a priority target you AoE burst and forget about. Three bosses have major adds which need movement impairs at which monks excell (paralysis/ring of peace shine more than ever on Eonar, Coven and Aggramar.)
Several bosses are easy to reset with transcendance and other classes have less utility than in prior tiers, making us very attractive.
Well I agree when you are saying that WW performs well in the kind of fight that Antorus has. I am the king for the portal keeper and Kingaroth event for exemple.
But I still missing a raid tool. I am happy to use Tiger lust on someone rooted by a spider on Hasabel. It is that kind of action that I am missing. I want to be usefull more than for my DPS.
I will look forward your advice and check what I can do with ring of peace.
